Reporting to the CEO, this person will be responsible for ensuring the scalability, accuracy, and efficiency of our accounting and finance department in a rapidly growing business.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
FP&A
- Champion the development of strong budgeting and forecasting capabilities
- Support M&A process with financial analysis
- Implement and streamline our processes and systems to provide timely operational decision-making support and drive profitable growth
- Provide cash projections and anticipated capital needs
Financial Reporting
- Prepare and report financial statements in an accurate and timely manner: Monthly/Quarterly/Annual
- Support with the preparation of Board/Investor Communications

Accounting
- Ensure all financial transactions in a timely and accurate manner (debits, credits, ledger entries, cash – bank reconciliation, open / closed orders / liabilities, etc.)
- Manage payroll, benefits, and compliance administration
- Establish, maintain, and analyze all financial policies and procedures directly related to the accounting system: cost accounting, accounts receivable, accounts payable, fixed assets, inventory, production posting, purchasing, general ledger, payroll, budgeting, forecasting, cash management and ensuring compliance with all fiscal conditions.

The Billing Specialist is responsible for the timely reconciliation of outstanding claims and other aspects of the revenue cycle while interacting positively with co-workers, patients, and external contacts in a prompt and respectful manner. The ideal candidate must make sure all proper insurance reimbursements are received for all services provided and possess experience in dealing with insurance companies in order to and be able to work around their stall tactics to get claims paid. OBJECTIVES:
- Reviews, monitors, inputs and completes dental claims into computerized billing system according to specific payor guidelines on a daily basis. An experienced Billing Specialist will be able to confidently know what attachments and narratives are required for each claim for best possible payout/reimbursement.
- Process payment from insurance companies including paper checks and EFT deposits. Understand and work effectively with the EFT process from each insurance company.
- Work with weekly Insurance Aging and AR reports to investigate unpaid claims. Follow-up, correct and/or appeal/resubmit claims until they are paid.
- Access all insurance company websites to access information for individual patients.
- Conduct follow-up phone calls with insurance carriers and/or patients to collect payment.
- Work with all third-party payors to rectify all outstanding claims
- Conducts research related to billing issues to resolve discrepancies.
- Maintain compliant billing practices and ensure that federal, state & local laws/guidelines are followed accordingly.
- Work with clinical team to obtain missing information as necessary, including working with the treating doctor to compose informative letters to submit the insurance dental consultants to help get claims accepted and paid.
REQUISITE EXPERIENCE & SKILLS:
- 1-3 years of professional Medical and/or Dental Billing Experience. Knowledgeable of dental insurance guidelines and requirements for filing claims properly.
- Understands of basic accounting with excellent mathematical skills
- Strong oral, written, presentation and interpersonal communications skills to effectively interact with patients, colleagues and all levels of management, as well as internal and external vendors.
- Professional phone etiquette, able to effectively communicate billing issues to patients and/or insurance companies. Must be able to maintain professional demeanor even when communicating with an anxious or agitated person.
