Dr. Heather Mitterer Promoted to COO of Dynamic Growth
Heather Mitterer, PhD, SPHR has been promoted to Chief Operating Officer of Dynamic Growth Dental Support. Heather joined the Dynamic Growth team as the Director of People Development in September of 2020 and has been instrumental in our continued growth, helping to create a thriving professional culture across the organization. Dr. Mitterer will be responsible for the day-to-day operational and administrative functions of the business.
Expanded Responsibilities
In her new role, Dr. Mitter will continue to oversee our Human Resources department with a focus on employee engagement and mentorship. Her expanded responsibilities include stewarding our vibrant company culture, overseeing business systems and processes, development team members, ensuring continued practice growth, and managing organizational infrastructure. She will work closely with both our clinical and operational teams to ensure policies and procedures are in place and utilized effectively.
Dr. Mitterer recently shared her thoughts about the promotion, saying: “I am honored to serve the team in this new role, and excited to work with some of the most incredible people.” She also articulated her approach to executive leadership when she relayed that she was “thrilled to serve as a mentor to others who want to approach leadership and business from a different perspective. I strongly believe that when employees feel valued and understand the mission and purpose of their work, they will work hard and will be dedicated to the goals of the company. “
Dynamic Growth’s First Female Chief
As Dynamic Growth’s first female chief officer, Dr. Mitterer embodies the organization’s commitment to supporting and empowering professional women in dentistry, our aim to provide a work-life balance for team members, and our core value of Always Becoming . In fact, Dr. Mitterer’s promotion comes fresh on the heels of her recently awarded PhD in Organizational and Industrial Psychology from Walden University, where she wrote her dissertation on the effect of self-control and grit on female leader emergence.
Prior to joining Dynamic Growth, Dr. Mitterer spent more than 25 years in a variety of leadership positions in the healthcare, manufacturing, service, logistics, and financial industries with a focus on improving work environments, developing leaders, and building collaborative organizations. She earned Master’s and Bachelor’s degrees in Psychology, Organizational Leadership, and Business Administration from both Penn State University and Walden University, has had her work published in the International Journal of Current Research, and holds several certifications in leadership, project management, human resources, and emergency management.
