Grove Kids Pediatric Dentistry Now Offers Sedation Services

Grove Kids Pediatric Dentistry  in Wyomissing, PA, has added in-house pediatric sedation dentistry to its patient offerings. It joins Lancaster Pediatric Dental Associates (LPDA)  as the second Dynamic Growth Dental Support practice to offer sedation services to children. The move allows Grove Kids to provide more complex treatment to pediatric patients and expands the range of anesthesia options for parents to select from when bringing their children to the practice for dental treatment.

Growth of Sedation Use in Pediatric Dentistry

Use of sedation dentistry in pediatric dentistry, ranging from mild sedation such as nitrous oxide up to general anesthesia, has seen a growth in recent years. Grove Kids has expanded its sedation options to ensure that dentists and parents can select the best treatment course depending on the unique background and needs of the child. Dental professionals have long known the short-term benefits of sedation benefits for families, including:

The addition of sedation dentistry comes just months after the grand opening of the 10 operating chair facility, intended to provide a more child-centric experience to patients. Dr. Muzamil Gufran, who completed his DDS from The University at Buffalo School of Dental Medicine and his two-year pediatric dental residency at The University at Buffalo, leads the new practice.
